A little nudge when scrolling goes on.

A moment to pause.A reason to put it down.

Just a quick look can turn into a long scroll. Get a reminder when phone use adds up across apps, and make room for a short break.

Illustrative screen from an app in development. Not a real usage record.

Notice. Put it down. Take a break.

01

Choose your time

Set the first reminder for 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes and grant the required permissions.

02

Use your phone as usual

Start monitoring, then switch to your other apps. A notification gives you a nudge when use continues.

03

Take two minutes

Turn the screen off. Have some water or stretch a little before coming back.

Across your apps. One reminder to pause.

A reminder, without a lockout
Get a prompt to put your phone down without forcibly blocking your apps.
A fresh start after a break
After the first reminder, receive another every 10 minutes of use. A break of at least two minutes starts a new session. On iPhone, this is estimated.
No account needed
Monitoring settings and usage state stay on your device. Development builds include test ads.

How time is measured

iPhone

On iPhone, continuous use is estimated from apps and websites recorded by Screen Time. It is not an exact screen-on timer; records and notifications can be delayed.

Android

On Android, time is counted while the screen is on and unlocked. Battery settings or force-stopping the app can interrupt monitoring.

Use your phone at your own pace.

We are preparing for the app stores. Release information will appear here when it is available.
